Hello! If you attended #MovingTexts2021 you may have seen us popping up on your Twitter timeline - we’re Miscellany, your friendly neighbourhood book history group 🧵
Me and my future SHARPist over here are loving following #MovingTexts2021 on twitter (and sneaking in to the odd panel 🙊 - there are definitely perks to online conferences). It is such a treat to belong to this awesome group of superstar researchers!
Only 5 more panels/roundtables before the final plenary. Looking forward to spending the early afternoon with you in these Zoom rooms before we close the conf 💜 #MovingTexts2021 #SHARP2021
One of my favorite books I read this year: Hwisang Cho on epistolary writing in early modern Korea. Among other things, Cho identifies and explores the unusual practice of spiral writing in letters, underscoring the haptics of reading them #SHARP2021 #MovingTexts2021
Post conf drinks no getting away from bookish vibes. Fake book wallpaper and random book/misc spesh @StevieLMarsden #movingtexts2021
When I tell you I BARKED in laughter when I saw this slide by @GrubStreetWomen after a particularly heavy and ableist section of her talk here at #MovingTexts2021 #SHARP2021 ID: small rodent (hamster?) in fuzzy onesie with caption "And now something cute, as a break"
Panel n°2 (or 1😅) of "@readers #currentlyreading in digital environments 1: Influencers, Celebrities, Young Adult Readers" at @MovingTexts2021 starting now! @Dr_Rehberg_Sedo @DrDFuller @fpianz @KateStuart4 @AngelinaEimann1 #SHARP2021 #MovingTexts2021
Suze loves hearing @malcolmcanmore and @alextheknitter speak about early modern translations! #MovingTexts2021 #SHARPcats
Looking forward to discussing all things author contracts + morality clauses with Katherine Day & @littleread on Friday at @MovingTexts2021! Our papers are pre-recorded—available via the programme! See you early birds at 8am BST for the discussion! 📝#MovingTexts2021 #SHARP2021
Last session of #MovingTexts2021 is ending 🥲 So that's it for me, I'm returning the account to @eureadit. This was my second conference as a grad student and I loved every second of it! I've learned SO MUCH and thoroughly enjoyed the friendly and supportive atmosphere💚
My Book History Avenger persona: “No borders for me!” (Yes my magical tote bag called Tote-ally Amazing also acts as my cape) #SHARP2021 #MovingTexts2021 @ClaireSquires @Beth_driscoll
Enjoyed listening to Kathy Peiss talk about her book on the sometimes harrowing effort to rescue (and thus conserve) documents from Nazi historical erasure. Bibliography meets spycraft, @namleti aptly observes. #SHARP2021 #MovingTexts2021
Rejecting Big Dick Data starts at 10:30am PT. I mean, the rejecting part has been a thing for a while, but our ✨ panel with @GrubStreetWomen + @kandicedarcia is in room Y. My talk draft is on my blog now too. bit.ly/3xb1LOD #SHARP2021 #MovingTexts2021
Let's talk pedagogy, #MovingTexts2021. Has anyone learned anything especially exciting about teaching #bookstudies/#bookhistory/#publishing over the past few days? Learned of any great resources? Please share!
#MovingTexts2021 Thankyou @ClaireSquires and @Beth_driscoll for taking me through The Ullapoolism Time Machine:Travels Through Periodicity in Book History!
#SHARP2021 #MovingTexts2021 Easter Eggs in my background: #BookishBookClub postcards, Radical Emprints print from @trickyholly, @BrynMawrCollege Anne Lister tee, @openpressproj press, a tip of the Amos Kennedy hoard, Il Torchio experimental handmade book, my grandparents' books.
Day 3 of #MovingTexts2021! We're looking forward to another day of thought-provoking discussion, SHARP puns, and general bookishness. (GIF choice is a shout-out to yesterday's wonderful reality TV roundtable with @Colleenlovesbks, @Marie_LSJ, @superHH, and Laura Ann Ntoumanis.)

Yes, I was very sorry to miss attending and tweeting @SHARPorg #MovingTexts2021, but at least I can contemplate the little bust of Gutenberg on a pleasant summer afternoon
Well, I'm super glad this paper is due after #MovingTexts2021 because I have so much more work to read and draw from for it from the amazing resource sharing that happened throughout the conference. Thankful to the amazing colleagues I met through @SHARPorg last week!

Je viens d'avoir un flash! Another important @SHARPorg tweeter that was sorely missed from #MovingTexts2021 was @CitizenWald... does that mean Jim is @sharpicecream?!?!?!?!?
Really missing the snark of our beloved bilingual EN/FR @sharpicecream at #MovingTexts2021... Go scroll through that Twitter account to get a feel for past @SHARPorg conferences!
She suggested the #SHARPHolidays matchmaking session to create panels to submit to @SHARPorg It created this much appreciated #MovingTexts2021 panel w/ @RenskeHoff @sarahebull @ehxlibris & Ben Fried👇 @LKFiss said we should keep preconference networking!
At 2pm CET today, join our roundtable 'Readers, Editors, Bookmakers: Creative Reading and Texts in Motion' @MovingTexts2021! @LKFiss, @sarahebull, @ehxlibris, Ben Fried, and I will talk about malleable books, creative use, and modes of authorship, readership, and editorship.
And yes, in French: librairie => bookstore library => bibliothèque (wie Deutsch, Bibliothek) Now you'll know if you ever hear a native French-speaker mix those up in English... #MovingTexts2021
I order my English-language books from @DandQ. Shout out à @librairiefemmtl, librairie féministe spécialisée en littérature des femmes, féministes, LGBT2QIA* et anti-oppressives, et librairieracines.com, Black-owned bookstore from Montréal. #Montréalrepresent!
Finally found my #MovingTexts2021-pub-quiz-teammate @KateStuart4 on Twitter!
Well done @sikandar_bubb @bibliophisla, Kate Stuart, and Janika on our 4th place finish in the #MovingTexts2021 pub quiz! Thanks to conveners @ellen6arth @vincent_trott @JanHillgaertner!
So many open cameras! It wasn't like that in the panels I attended at #MovingTexts2021... It meant I felt no pressure to turn it on... or get out of my pj's!
Panel n°2 (or 1😅) of "@readers #currentlyreading in digital environments 1: Influencers, Celebrities, Young Adult Readers" at @MovingTexts2021 starting now! @Dr_Rehberg_Sedo @DrDFuller @fpianz @KateStuart4 @AngelinaEimann1 #SHARP2021 #MovingTexts2021
Is this a #MovingTexts2021 #multipletimezones inspired joke?
And it can't hurt to think ahead to 5pm, either! Choices, choices, choices! #MovingTexts2021 #SHARP2021

But the real reason for this thread is to promote tomorrow's #SHARP2021/#MovingTexts2021 plenary session that I helped organise. I'm super excited to be championing the work of some brilliant postgraduate researchers – not the usual suspects for a plenary. Please join us!
Protest signs are book studies! What an interesting and moving keynote by @BrennaWynn at #SHARP2021 #MovingTexts2021 (photo taken at the Black Lives Matter protest in Münster, June 2020)
More behind-the-scenes footage from the #MovingTexts2021 HQ. #SHARP2021 we wish we could have a proper (un)banquet with you!
