Priula veris - (cowslip) a lovely native spring flower related to the primrose. The name cowslip comes from 'cow-slop' (or cowpat), in reference to its choice of meadow habitat. It also grows in ancient woodland and hedgerows. @NlandNP #spring #nativeflora #flower
