60-70% of women will experience hypertension. 30-35% will experience cardiovascular disease. "We need a personalized approach to identify and understand the health trajectory for women that will be affected by heart disease." #OSSD2024
While systolic blood pressure tends to be higher in men earlier in life, after around age 60, the trajectory switches, and is higher in women. Diastolic BP remains higher in men across the life-course, but the difference between men and women narrows with age. #OSSD2024
