Day 3 of #OTweek, today’s occupation is making a cup of tea. This is often used in occupational therapy assessments because for many it is a meaningful occupation. But it also requires a range of skills including, motor skills, mobility, planning, sequencing and motivation.

Day 4 of #OTweek, our next occupation is photography, for many this is a meaningful hobby but it is also used in employment, voluntary work or to keep a record of family roles. Photography can provide, enjoyment, relaxation, distraction from difficulties and creativity.

Day 5 of #OTweek, the next occupation is exercise. This can take many forms including, walking, swimming, Pilates, running and sport. Exercise is so important for both our mental and physical wellbeing.

Just had a great morning on zoom with the SLTs and OTs who work in Manchester. @JacquelineMcIn1 and I focused on working with people with CCD across the pathway. This morning we covered formulation, models of CCD and assessment. Day 2 will focus on insight, goals & intervention.
