This afternoon we found about about the importance of computing! We read a story and watched a video about the women who work within this exciting career! We enjoyed finding out about the coding involved in creating computer games. It could all starts with beebots #owpscomputing
This afternoon we recalled our knowledge of animation to create several frames about our time in year 4! We focused on using the onion skin feature to help us copy our previous frame. #owpscomputing
This afternoon we have been learning how to input data and format spreadsheets! We incorporated maths by finding the percentage of up to 1 and 2 decimal places. An afternoon full of resilience and perseverance #owpscomputing
The next lesson in our computing session saw us tackle line graphs. We had to use 2calculate to input data and then create a line graph from this. We had to debug some of our data and answer questions based on our line graphs! #owpscomputing 💻📈📉
Combining Computing and Music…what a great way to start the term. We really enjoyed our conductive music workshop today, programming a game with the use of musical notes. #OWPSmusic #OWPScomputing
We looked at algorithms in our computing lesson. We used the song, "Heads, shoulders,knees and toes" to order our instructions. We noticed the algorithm was wrong so we needed to debug it. #owpscomputing
We have been coders this afternoon. We can now create a simple code for a program to follow! #owpscomputing #unplugged
In Computing we have been physically programming using Crumble Kits. We built a simple circuit and connected a microcontroller to a Chrome Book then programmed the microcontroller to light an LED. #OWPScomputing
Some great concentration used during our computing lesson this afternoon. We had to create our own algorithm, which included a timer. Then we were able to try and create these on the chrome books! #owpscomputing
