The Home Office has dropped deportation proceedings against a Tameside doctor who missed the cut off to reapply his visa. Dr Luke Ong, 31, from Singapore has been in the UK for 10 years. The Manchester University graduate says his late application was an honest mistake.

What happened to the road to full pay restoration is a journey and not an event? This year was a stall. Next year is predicted to be a distinct back step. £4/hr more isn’t unreasonable. Doctors deserve full pay restoration.
