During Day 3 of the #OpenLabwareGh workshop in @UHAS_Ghana, participants were introduced to programming using the Arduino IDE, logic and computer aided designs (CAD) for their prototype designs. Among many things they also learned how to solder on a pf-board. cc: @DLabware
After the introductions, it was all hands-on as the participants built simple circuits to practise what had been learnt. #DIYLabware #BuildingLabware #OpenLabwareGh
@v_kumbol curator of the @DLabware introduced participants to building pseudo-codes and tasked all 6 teams in #OpenLabwareGh workshop to build pseudo-codes for an automatic tritration machine and program an Arduino to do that. Successful teams in-turns shared their codes
@hivebiolab and @KumasiHive over the past two days have joined @DLabware in @UHASGhana to train 18 African scientists and researchers coming from 5 universities in Ghana and Burkina Faso to build #opensciencehardware #OpenLabWareGh #BuildingLabware #Biomakerchallenge
Day 2 of the #DIYLabware workshop is over. Today our participants were taken through basic electronics and Arduino by the Project Lead @v_kumbol and @harryakligoh from the @hivebiolab. #BuildingLabware #OpenLabwareGh
The #DIYLabware workshop kicked off today. Over the next 2 weeks, 18 participants from five institutions in Ghana and Ivory Coast will receive training in #BuildingLabware. @TReNDinAfrica @hivebiolab @KumasiHive #OpenLabwareGh
Very inspiring observations so far. African academics and scientists are gradually appreciating the importance of #opensciencehardware in helping them overcome the equipment inaccessibility bottleneck in research and education. #OpenlabwareGh #Biomakerchallenge
