Teachers can't fix problems that started at home. Teachers are not paid enough to deal with unruly kids, parents who don't want to parent their kids, and an education system built to babysit students. We need to be honest as a society or our future will be in danger.
Word on the street is the new curriculum implementation is a disaster. Teachers have zero resources, zero funding, and zero time beyond the fact the curriculum itself is mostly terrible.
The hardest part of working in schools is that despite how “student centered” we are, by design, schools can not meet every student’s needs at all time. There will always be students who fall through the cracks.
