#projectroomkey was supposed to be the path to permanent housing for our unhoused community, but here we are at a closure of yet another site that is evicting people back out onto the streets with no permanent housing in sight. Our people deserve better #housingisahumanright
Which business blocked the Biltmore Hotel from participating in #ProjectRoomkey? Hotel management was open to it and a deal was almost made until a threat was made. Now it houses Covid-19 infected cops. Who is responsible for this? I'm curious to know who stepped in.

Re: #ProjectRoomkey 🏨 Joe Biden has extended 100% FEMA reimbursements for governments to temporarily house unhoused people in motels/hotels through April 1, 2022 due to the pandemic. Our gov should fully take advantage of this and while we're at it, remove carceral conditions.

During the pandemic @LACountyBOS received state funds under #ProjectRoomKey to house the homeless. this motel in #Compton kicked everyone out and it’s been closed ever close to a year. THIS is your priority @HollyJMitchell @ComptonCityHall not taking away our rights.
With @LACountyLibrary locations closed, library assistant Michael Peterson is serving the public in a different way—working with #ProjectRoomkey to care for the County's most vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Don’t wake him up. He’s been hard at work asking for money. They don’t want help from #projectroomkey or any help. Time to shuffle off back to your home state buddy.

Last week, outreach teams from LAHSA, Homeless Healthcare LA (HHCLA), and People Assisting the Homeless (PATH) in partnership with LA Council Districts 1 and 10 collaborated to bring 17 individuals living near the Shatto Recreation Center indoors to a local #ProjectRoomkey. 🧵👇
This is absolute BULLSHIT. Fining homeless people $250 for being on the streets in "illegal zones" or putting them in jail is just SICK. And this is coming on the heels of #ProjectRoomKey ending and all these people about to be thrown back out onto the streets. @LACity
41.18 makes it illegal to be homeless in certain places. @GillForLA explains what happens if you break the law. On Tuesday, LA City Council will vote to expand 41.18 to 20% of the City. View our map to see where it’s illegal to sit, sleep, and lie down: 4118.mejiaforcontroller.com

California’s #ProjectRoomkey brought together healthcare services and emergency housing for people experiencing homelessness and anecdotally, there were real benefits.
“#ProjectRoomkey was a game changer in how communities provide emergency housing to people experiencing homelessness across California,” said Nichole Fiore, Abt principal associate and evaluator.
Data from three CA communities show the longer participants stayed in #ProjectRoomkey, the less likely they were to return to homelessness — and the more likely they were to move into permanent housing.
What did we learn from California’s groundbreaking program, #ProjectRoomkey? Findings show the program helped more than 62,000 medically vulnerable people, many 65+ years of age.

Not only did the program help save the lives of significant numbers of Californians experiencing homelessness, says @AbtGlobalImpact: "#ProjectRoomkey transformed how homeless service systems offer emergency housing across the state. This program was a game changer."
#ProjectRoomkey did what it set out to do. It’s as simple as that. A new evaluation of one of California’s signature COVID-era homelessness programs by @AbtGlobalImpact finds Roomkey helped 62,000 people experiencing homelessness find safe housing in hotels & motels.
