Python without a strong data science background is useless! Python is just new "BASIC". Opinions? #PythonSucks Bring it on...😁#programming #java #csharp #Python #cplusplus #javascript
And then I did python3. As expected, if you want python3 to be performant, you call libraries written in C.🤣 #PythonSucks #ToyLanguage #NotForSeriousBusiness ;)
Exception in #Python expects "*args" as input. Is there somewhere I can see which arguments should I sent? The *official* doc states "usually called only with a single string giving an error message" Usually?? #PythonSucks

Yet, I have Perl code I wrote in the 1990s that still runs just fine! #PerlRocks #PythonSucks I also never got into Swift because of its immense churn release to release. Long like C, Awk, and Perl! (And yes, I am old.)
You know who I really hate right now? Whoever thought "you know, a great way to delineate the hierarchy of functions in a program would be to use tabs: characters which are completely invisible to humans and indistinguishable from spaces!" #pythonSucks
So, in case you've forgot - #PythonSucks. And today - scanning stuff with mypy is installing unwanted versions of libraries and breaking things. Yes, it's not entirely their fault, but only because python dependency management sucks as well
Access a static method from within the class it is defined in? Why would anyone want to do that? #PythonSucks
"TypeError: Object of type X is not JSON serializable" Any decent language would have an easy way to make an object serializable, but #PythonSucks
list = ['aa','bb','ab','ac'] for item in list: print(item) if 'a' in item: list.remove(item) Want to guess what is printed? (hint: in java or c# you'll get an exception for modifying the collections you're iterating on). #PythonSucks
Yup. Java is the Global Language. #pythonsucks #javarocks 😁😁😁
Ajay Devgn and Kiccha Sudeepa arguing over national language. IT Engineers thinking Java is our national language.

It's been a while since I got a reminder that #PythonSucks. I'm not sure how @PavilsJurjans managed to find this, but he just saved me after three days of hunting for a problem. community.onion.io/topic/279/reso… my story - I've upgraded a project from python3.8 to 3.11, stuff broke
They did consistently deliver on their commitment to incoherent design, ugly syntaxes and archaic toolset though ! #pythonsucks #snowballpower

Un curso de Python sirve para lo mismo que seis semestres de Finanzas en la San Marino... #PythonSucks

Yesterday I found out that a library which is the de-facto standard in a specific field has a bug open for over 2.5 years. Short summary - if you use this library, you won't be able to use logging at all. #PythonSucks
Maldito YAML!!!! Es mi decisición poner tabs o espacios!!! #YAMLsucks #PythonSucks too
It's been a while, but there always another surprise that reminds me how much #PythonSucks. Today I wrote a function that can get an argument which is either a string or an iterable of strings. a string, in #python, is considered an iterable of strings. what were they thinking?
Ok, wondered why #PythonSucks ? Here's another example
What does this print? x = 0 y = 0 def f(): x = 1 y = 1 class C: print(x, y) # What does this print? x = 2 f() From blog.kevmod.com/2014/06/what-d… (@kevmod) Still in Python 3.9!
