Slowly getting around to building in #reirradiation constraints. 📌 Conventional re-RT for the cord is up! 📌 Re-RT filter (for all OARs) coming soon! 🚧🏗️ Please let us know if you have any feedback. Your critique is vital to the success of this project! #RadOncCalc #radonc
Select #RadOncCalc pediatric 🫁 metrics shown here: 📌 *Ipsi*lateral MLD < 10 Gy did not appear to increase the risk of long-term pulmonary complications in irradiated survivors. 📌 *Total* Lung V20 < 30% or MLD <14 Gy = Low Risk. Can the Notes be improved? Please let us know!
It has been a labor of love. I hope you may find them helpful! If you ever have comments about the Notes in #RadOncCalc, you can comment on the Google Doc above or hit the ➕ in the app's top-right. Since its launch 1y ago, there have only been five comments from users😅😃

Dr. Ellsworth, thank you so much for this commentary. I finally got around to programming the phII data into #RadOncCalc. If the 5 fx stomach notes can be improved, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Thanks again for the thoughtful input! (Also added @KrishanJethwa commentary)
Yes, completely non-sensical. I've gone ahead and marked these metrics as "Obsolete" in #RadOncCalc, next to other obsolete metrics (e.g., conventional heart metrics from #RTOG0617 such as V40<100%🥵) But the cord constraint you mentioned is 🥶. We know 20/5 whole cord is fine
Looking forward to learning more about RT-induced lymphopenia. Please let me know if you think the Notes can be improved for any of the OARs - it was a very dense topic, so it links to your article for details, but I tried to put in general themes like this in Notes #RadOncCalc

Largely the same as intact regimens but slightly more lax for rectum and bladder. I'll add these to Bit.ly/ConstraintsPro… and #RadOncCalc
Yes of course! Many ways to come to a solution. Maybe 10 Gy IDL to salivary glands “matters” (QUANTEC)? This was one of my favorite toxicity sections to write for #RadOncCalc. Man, H&N was dense! But was a fun challenge to tackle. Please lmk if you think the Notes can be improved

Can't wait for prospective PULSAR data! #JediEnergy To our app users, we aspire that #RadOncCalc will help foster deeper conversations about the challenges associated with constraint data. A must-read provocative piece from @NiuSanford and @BobTimmermanMD! #radonc 🏆🥇🎯
Some radoncs have not learned sometimes the worst toxicity is the tumor. There should be nuance in how constraints are applied case to case, when to violate/sacrificewhen to respect. We need a new paradigm in precision RT. You can't make a Jedi with stormtrooper energy

Haha, yes, exactly! These issues are why I have dedicated my life to compiling constraints and Notes within #RadOncCalc, so it is easier to get in the trenches with the data to discuss their shortcomings and help us spend less time in protocols and more time with patients.
