I get it that they entire board votes. Up until this point, the majority of board members seem to vote in lock step with the C&C agenda. Why are there not more elected members asking the hard questions and not necessarily towing the PASS party line? #sqlpassbodama

I think a great first step would be an international data event calendar. Having spoken at @DataAISummit and @SQLBits and had friends speak at @datamindsbe & #SQLKonferenz I've engaged with the broader #sqlfamily and would facilitate others to doing the same. #SQLPASSBoDAMA

There will always be many non-PASS events in the data community. They may be considered competitors for scarce "resources" like speakers but it isn't a zero sum game. PASS can grow through collaboration with and the supporting of other groups. #SQLPASSBoDAMA

Which is a shame, cos there is a good slate and I would like to, but one person has received NDA information and one serving Director (afaik) has given it.
Yeah, looks like BoD is ok with just the minutes and now issue appears to be swept under the carpet, and "sqlfamily" don't seem to care less -including the burn it down brigade. Irony at its finest I think. I personally won't be voting till I know details.

I didn't receive any communication regarding the issues mentioned so I don't have any specific comment. My general comment is that the machinations of PASS should generally be more open and transparent to the community. #SQLPASSBoDAMA

The special meeting minutes left me with more Qs than answers. There's stuff that indicates an investigation into NDA breaches, as well as it being possible that the slate would have been rejected. It's tough for me to work out what if any action I need to take #SQLPASSBoDAMA
Have enjoyed nearly all sessions, but pre-recorded speakers are at a bit of a disadvantage due to platform limitations (resizing screen, video stuttering/stopping, etc.). I think all speakers have adapted as well as could be expected. #SQLPASSBoDAMA

There's also more support for events running in local languages, i18on support for web properties, and much more that can be done to make the global community able to better engage with the wealth of content and opportunities held in PASS. #SQLPASSBoDAMA
No. Or at least not consistently and baked in to operations to support the community. We've had some great community discussions here the past few days about reinvigorating the global initiative by dispersing HQ responsibilities & growth to smaller regional teams. #SQLPASSBoDAMA

I've worked hard to support events around the world and have been able to make wonderful connections because of that. It's that local/regional/personal level where we need to engage and communicate as a board and org. #SQLPASSBoDAMA

Unfortunately the evidence says no. See video chat issues for AUS/NZ users yesterday. See many medium/large events in Europe dropping PASS branding. Great to see a diverse board, but my concern is that the comms break down between board and an HQ in single location #SQLPASSBoDAMA

Like @jdanton says, we don't know the contract details. There should be a cancellation / agreement end clause. It may be punitive or long but there should be one and as the main vendor, I expect PASS BoD to know how to end the agreement if they deem it necessary. #SQLPASSBODAMA
I haven’t seen the contracts, so I can’t comment. As an aside, those contracts should be a matter of community record with some minor details retracted. #SQLPASSBoDAMA
