We appreciate everyone who participated in our @ALSLips catch-up and planning meeting. The collegial atmosphere was truly delightful for all involved. Here’s to a productive & collaborative future ahead. @NRCPD @SignatureDeaf #SpokenWordsMadeVisible #LipreadingWithLipspeakers
We agree. Unfortunately, it's an unhelpful situation that repeats itself on a regular basis. Agencies, Event Administrators, please listen to what we are saying ... #LipspeakersAreNotInterpreters #InterpretersAreNotLipspeakers #SpokenWordsMadeVisible #Lipreaders
Frustrating when a #Lipreader is constantly sent a #BSL interpreter even though they don’t have any sign language. Not all #Deaf people communicate in the same way.
Delighted to have been asked to share news of this lovely event soon to take place at the famous Victoria Hall in Bolton. Tickets are still available. #SpokenWordsMadeVisible
