Do we know the demographic most involved in #swiftlang #swiftevolution. Do working devs divert time to it or mostly computer-science buffs?

Good tip: This #swiftevolution proposal (forums.swift.org/t/a-roadmap-fo…) is an AMAZING read, and when it gets accepted, a refresher on iOS/macOS manual memory management is a good read (developer.apple.com/library/archiv…)
I just learned about Kotlin’s “when” statement yesterday, and I would not mind having something like that in Swift. I had to look up what the syntax meant because it wasn’t immediately obvious to me, but it’s pretty powerful. 🤔 #SwiftLang #SwiftEvolution
End of source-breaking changes for Swift 3 lists.swift.org/pipermail/swif… #swiftevolution #swift3
From there I think a series for C++ for Swift Evolution would be helpful, but I do not have much experience with that language. #SwiftEvolution #SwiftLang

Over the course of last year, I've summarized a whopping 50 #SwiftEvolution proposals as part of @SwiftEvolutionM! 🤯 You can now find all my summaries here on GitHub: github.com/FlineDev/swift… Or simply replace "apple" in the URL with "FlineDev" when you have a proposal open.
Also it’s really smart that the @pointfreeco guys are pointing out the lacking parts in #Swift which could make #TCA even more concise. Because it both reminds contributors to #SwiftEvolution to consider the changes, ans viewers are made aware of potential future simplifications.

Swift Evolution Monthly — April ‘22 Issue
Regex overhaul, improved Existentials, Swift 5.7 timeline
forums.swift.org/t/accepted-se-… was accepted. You'll soon be able to write `if let myVar` instead of `if let myVar = myVar`. Having used this kind of syntax with Kotlin I think it's a very nice addition! 👏 #swiftlang #iosdev #swiftevolution
I just set up a newsletter for the "Swift Evolution Monthly" article series that I started only 2 days ago. If you’re interested in #SwiftEvolution summary content, subscribe via email or read the issues online: se-monthly.flinedev.com #RSS also supported, just add "?format=rss"

I love the way most proposals are written in the #SwiftEvolution repo. Great structure, well explained with good examples, easy to understand, and on point. It probably all goes back to @pathofshrines and @dgregor79. So kudos! 🙇♂️
