#TheManySaintsofNewark The tagline "Who made Tony Soprano" is way too ambitious for this movie. It is ok`ish if you haven't seen anything in this genre for a while, but otherwise can be easily skipped. There is really close to nothing about "making Tony Soprano".

Originally in the parlor scene of #TheManySaintsOfNewark, I was standing on the right side of the door, not the left side, I acknowledged the boss as he entered and shook hands with Johnny Soprano played by Jon Bernthal who escorted the boss into the parlor played by David Chase.

This is my favorite scene in #TheManySaintsofNewark and the one I think of most when I rewatch #TheSopranos. A blend of Tony's better nature and his upbringing in crime (so nurture, so to speak). Also, these ice cream trucks are still around with the same design and music.

The way the opening scenes frame Tony and Dickie in #TheManySaintsofNewark hurts my heart. Dickie is Tony's protector, standing between Tony and a life in the mob. Dickie's death is essentially the death of any normalcy for Tony.
