This week, 10 volunteers from @LBGplc joined Midlothian Ranger Service for a day’s tree planting and maintenance at Jubilee Wood, within Vogrie Country Park. It was a bit wet but they managed to plant 90 trees before heading back to the warmth of #Vogrie House. Great job! 🌳👏

A long shot this morning but #MiningLandscapes are looking for an image of #Vogrie Colliery #Gorebridge #MidLothian that closed in the late 1930s. So far drawn a blank but hopefully one might emerge from granny’s shoe box. #coal #mininghistory
