“Let’s not wait for doomsday, let’s create landless food.” – Algi enthusiast, food lover, and designer Malu Luecking is creating food without fertile soil. She's experimenting with Landless Food: introducing us to microalgae with delicious flavours. #WDCDCircularShowcase

Now on stage: Tzachi from @BalenaScience (wearing their awesome new sneakers!). Balena created a durable, flexible and bio-based plastic alternative: BioCir. #WDCDCircularShowcase

"Architecture and urban design need to fix our broken cities" – hear, hear, Loreta! The architects behind Taller Architects found a way to use dumped tires in Tijuana to guide excess rainwater to the sea – creating a green public space for the community. #WDCDCircularShowcase

Now on stage: Barbera Wolfensberger (@bwolfje), Dutch Director-General of Culture and Media, sharing her thoughts on the importance of design, and finding solutions in the place where ‘creativity meets technology.’ #WDCDCircularShowcase

“Let’s end the plastic era.” says Juni, one of the founders of mujō. They design clever packaging solutions from kelp that are made to disappear – like a fruit peel! 🍊 #WDCDCircularShowcase

"Resortecs is changing the recycling game, simply by heating the stitches." says Magdalena from the @Resortecs team. Only 1% of garments are currently recycled, because they're hard to disassemble – the brilliant solutions from Resortecs make this easier. #WDCDCircularShowcase

"Would you throw this away? Unfortunately, the fashion industry does." Rrrrrrrround two of the #WDCDCircularShowcase! Arnas from @nivogo takes the stage to explain how they have renewed 1.1 million items already.

"Don't be hot, be cool." Now on the #WDCDCircularShowcase stage, Emile from @theCoolBricks team. Their bricks - made from cow dung - can be used to provide affordable, safe and circular housing solutions. Here's to the power of poo!

"Human and bee’s destiny are interconnected. What are we going to do for them?" A big question from Apidae founder Gabriel. They're here to present their beehouse to support the meliponini bee. #WDCDCircularShowcase

On stage: Kristin from @SaathiPads, who developed a holistic solution to end menstrual poverty: "Only 36% of women worldwide have access to menstrual products – we've distributed over 1M sanitary pads so far!" #WDCDCircularShowcase

Here's Hannah (wearing a unique upcycled piece from a designer of the @alteristmarketp - of course!). "Change in the fashion industry felt long overdue so we decided to do something about it." #WDCDCircularShowcase

Next up, Spyridon from LibreWater! They created a purification device – all open source! - to make nearly any water drinkable. "The bad news? 750.000.000 people don’t have access to clean drinking water. The good news? Our prototype works!" #WDCDCircularShowcase

It's time for the Craste team, here at the #WDCDCircularShowcase! Shubham shares their packaging solutions made from crop residue: “Let our trees be there for shade, not to solve our packaging problem.”
