We reckon those four panels might be the four engine nacelles & by a quirk of fate back in the day #XM594 was a Scampton Wing, Blue Steel capable aircraft. Our trials & tribulations with stock supply challenges are well documented about these parts! 😉

Visited the cockpit of XM594 at @NewarkAirMus back in the summer. It’s pretty cramped back there, can’t imagine what it must be like trying to get out of there in a hurry in full kit

An unlikely duet?🤔 This Handley Page Hastings T5 was very much a part of the RAFs V-bomber force. It was used to teach future V-bomber radar navigators (bomb aimers) how to operate the NBS (Navigation Bombing System), until we'll into the 1970s. One resides @NewarkAirMus
