Can we do better than JSON_AGG? #SQL has had sub-queries since SQL:92 - but it's still a challenge to return properly nested data through SQL queries. #XTDB delivers first-class support for nested values, as well as `NEST_ONE` and `NEST_MANY`, which fill this gap. 1/n
What does Immutability mean when it comes to a database? What are the benefits? How would the internals change? Excited to release the next episode on The GeekNarrator podcast featuring @xtdb_com. @malcolmsparks and @refset share insights into the #XTDB database. Check it…
Absolutely thrilled for the upcoming recordings: 1) #VeniceDB with @felixgv 2) Deterministic Testing with Will Wilson from @AntithesisHQ 3) #Xtdb with Jeremy Taylor from @xtdb_com 4) #Warpstream with @richardartoul 5) #Neon Serverless #Postgres with Heikki Linnakangas 6)…
#Arweave streaming is back tomorrow (Friday) at 10am CT. Going to try to see if I can add ar:// URL support to @logseq! Also, will review some changes to my #XTDB Arweave data indexer + possibly experiment with XTDB rules. See you there! youtu.be/hGtgyDb23M0
#Datomic over @ElectricClojure although #XTDB seems to more readily do what I expect it to do.
You need to use a database for your next project. What would you pick?
Streaming tomorrow at the usual time (Friday, 10am CT). I'll be talking a bit about #Arweave as a substrate for tools for thought as well as continuing to explore Arweave data using #XTDB and #Metabase. youtu.be/KfaKz0Qao74
#Datomic, lah, of course! :D or #XTDB (fka Crux DB) or #Datahike or #Datalevin etc. See more at project-awesome.org/razum2um/aweso…
In fact, why stop at feature flags? Why not design a system where you can see who changed what, when, across all your data. #XTDB
Use a feature flag service like flagsmith or launchdarkly. You get very detailed history into who changed what, and when. And you can A/B test features, or gradually rollout features to a percentage of your users
Check Out the #XTDB 2.0.0-beta5 Release! It brings template-friendly SQL for easier query generation and a 4x performance boost for small transactions on the Postgres wire-server. Simplify workflow and enhance your database performance today! github.com/xtdb/xtdb/rele… (3/3)

You can now explore @xtdb_com directly in your browser using VS Code via GitHub Codespaces! Just head over to: github.com/xtdb/xtdb/tree… #XTDB #Postgres
It's also worth mentioning #xtdb (previously known as crux). Using our connector at odpi.github.io/egeria-docs/co… temporal queries are now possible across distributed metadata. How cool is that!
This announcement has been years in the making and represents a vast effort by a small group of exceptional engineers. I'm so proud of everyone on the XT team. A great day to announce this at the @clojure_conj #clojure_conj #xtdb
Gonna need a bitemporal database.. bbc.co.uk/news/science-e… #XTDB
Have you ever heard of a 'bitemporal' database? 🤔 This week I'm talking to James Henderson, lead developer of #XTDB, to explore the world of bitemporality, and the life of a professional #database developer. Watch: youtu.be/3sRKQg9-In8 Hear: pod.link/developer-voic…

Back to streaming tomorrow (Friday) at 10am CT - continuing @xtdb_com and @ArweaveTeam exploration. This time I'll be playing with functions in queries, the XTDB SQL interface, connecting to Metabase, and calculating block transaction rewards. youtu.be/LLW-gUwQdUo

At this @reClojure workshop (Dec. 2nd), @refset taught us about #XTDB, the exciting general-purpose #bitemporal #database for #SQL, #Datalog & graph queries. youtu.be/OIhLXQ1fdZs Many thanks to @refset for the brilliant talk and to @mchampine for the kind moderation.
