I had such a great time presenting my research on the role of emotional demeanour in preliminary investigations at #apls2023! I always leave these conferences feeling refreshed and inspired. Can’t wait to see what the year brings research-wise!
Displaying an unexpected emotional demeanour during a preliminary investigation can be incriminating, particularly for women. Come listen to me talk about some research inspired by the wrongful conviction of @amandaknox tomorrow at 5 pm! #APLS2023

I will be presenting new work on “beliefs about repressed memory” among United States adults in tonight’s poster session at #apls2023. Hope you see you there!

I was so excited to see this! We spent about 20 mins at my lab dinner last Friday at #APLS2023 talking about Bryan Stevenson.
Yesterday President Joe Biden presented EJI director Bryan Stevenson with the National Humanities Medal, honoring Mr. Stevenson “for his moral call to redeem the soul of our Nation."
Let me introduce myself to any new followers since #APLS2023. I generally tweet about psych law research (esp children's testimony/interrogations & confessions), dev psych, parenting, academia...& lately lots & lots about my new puppy.
A few reflections on #APLS2023 and yes I know it ended a few days ago…I take time to process things. Or rather I needed to dig myself out of the email back log. I probably spent $100 in blister bandaids, lost my voice, & learned a lot while seeing almost none of Philly
To my new post-#APLS2023 Twitter followers, if you would like to pay the service forward, please consider circulating the following exciting study opportunity, ; )
Even though #APLS2023 ended two days ago, my heart still stays in Philly with all the beautiful memories. Tremendous thanks to those who made my first-ever in-person visit to the @APLS41 conference memorable. Look forward to seeing you again at #APLS2024 in LA! @APLSsc #APLS23SC
Was so impressed with @DrEJGirvan work @APLS41 #Apls2023 on vulnerable decision points and interventions to reduce racial disparities. Grounded in theory and HUGE effect sizes in real world school/prison disciplinary data. Check out his work!
Still glowing with pride about the @ASU_LBS student and faculty presenters and award winners at @APLS41 #apls2023 @asu_ssbs @asu
If you ever want to humble yourself, try summarizing your students'/postdocs' talks at #APLS2023 for your 5 & 7yo over dinner. Also the sadness/difficulty of trying to explain what "child abuse" means in terms they can understand but that don't completely terrify them😪
Proof that my recent trip to #APLS2023 was for business, or pleasure? The fact that at midnight on the last night of the conference I was debating (over drinks) a single optimal methodology for dissertations, as well as the necessity for a priori power analysis.
One of the most important things I learned at #APLS2023 was just how many more Bubly & La Croix flavors the US has compared to Canada these days. I'm starting a petition.
Thank you to everyone who helped make #APLS2023 such a success! Thank you for sharing your work, your questions, and for showing up! I couldn’t have done my part without my fabulous co-chair Andrea Avila! And, I can’t wait to enjoy #APLS2024 as a spectator, 😋.
Me: I’m tired from my trip (#APLS2023) 3: Did they not have beds there?
I had the pleasure of presenting my doctoral research at #APLS2023! I loved connecting with other exoneree researchers and hearing all about their amazing research in the area.
