A Hatchet Survival Guide will bring rules awareness to others in cases of emergency. These students are thinking from the perspective of a survivor. Excellently presentations and humorous. #bsdgate

Pondering the details of equivalent ratios is our focus! These scholars were able to explain the definition, examples, and non examples of equivalent ratios. IM has a a real life scenario of casserole ratios. Our students connected their own recipes to a ratio. #bsdgate

In Wonders, The Secret World of caves can be analyzed through the lens of a cave biologist. These students are decomposing the details, language, and rules of cave life totally in the dark to connect it to the main idea and essential question. #bsdgate

GATE PAC, our newly established parent advisory committee for the #bsdGATE program, came together this holiday season and held a food drive. In partnership with @BurtonBulldogs who provided turkeys, we are able to provide 6 BSD families with Thanksgiving meals. 💙 @BurtonSchools

5th grade #bsdGATE Camp was out of this galaxy! Students practiced the 7 Habits and team building through many activities with a Star Wars twist! From team challenges to a laser tag battle against the stormtroopers, the kids had a blast defeating the Empire!
