The Holy One is sanctuary for the scattered, healing hearts made stone by the loss of home. What of hearts made stone through fear of the scattered? We are told that to obey our hearts must be open. Will they too let the flesh & blood of the holy exile in? #Ezekiel11 #cLectio

Wheels within wheels. In #Ezekiel1 the wheels are clearly seen; green, beautiful, the 'spirit of living creatures was in them", life in motion. Now, 'wheels within wheels' move unseen, break, manipulate. When will love come again like wheat that rises green? #cLectio

Kindness to a stranger in a strange land; "You are an exile from your home. You came only yesterday, & shall I today make you wander about with us..." We ask much of those uprooted, offering little in return. Is that because we are severed at the roots? #2Samuel15 #cLectio

In exile come beings, part human/part other-than-human, with bright hearts "like burning coals of fire". To retain the power of vision, to keep fire in the heart, is the challenge of all the displaced whose hope has grown cold. In Spirit we all belong. #Ezekiel1 #cLectio
