Would it be too blasphemous if we had a spin-off of #cherrycljs which directly compiled to JS without the CLJS stdlib? It would yield really small scripts, while still re-using the existing CLJS familiarity, syntax and it would integrate tightly with JS. #clojure

That is how #squintcljs works yes, however, the stdlib works pretty much the same as CLJS, but operates on native data structures. There is an almost identical project which has the original CLJS data structures, it's called #cherrycljs: squint-cljs.github.io/cherry/?repl=t…


You could give #nbbcljs a try if Clojure on Node.js is an option. Or #squintcljs / #cherrycljs
