Firmware to boot a @Raspberry_Pi #Pi4 as a USB device might not be here yet but that doesn't mean you can't use the #Pi4 as a USB Gadget. It "just works" with the latest (test) buster image for #ClusterHAT on the SD :).

Possibly a bit OTT but it keeps the 3.3v on whilst a #RaspberryPi4 reboots (#PiZero no longer reset in #ClusterHAT v2.x) and gives the #fanshim some air.

Network six Raspberry Pi 3A+ using USB Gadgets.
A USB2 Flash drive can also be switched between bottom build Pi and Controller to test booting from USB. It's still missing a few cables but this setup should allow me to build #ClusterHAT/#ClusterCTRL images and test different setups a bit quicker than I can currently.

There is little problem with #ClusterHAT . Multiple Clusterhat provide the same MAC address for each #RaspberryPI zero connected. The udev rules must be changed to fix.

The 8-yo "chaos engineer" turned off the #clusterhat setup with @Raspberry_Pi 4 (control plane) and 4x Zero 2W (workers). This was a flakey use case when everything was on the 3B+ cluster. All tests passed this time. Redundant clusters! #SingleNodeControlPlane
The #RPi4 is the "master" node and the 4 x Zero 2W are worker nodes. Using the #clusterhat in bridge mode, I had more problems. That was probably because of my #homelab networking. So far so good, all nodes are taking work, but its early. I'm excited to share my notes!

Today's PCB delivery - a solderless USB Serial Console (FTDI) for the #pizero fits in the #ClusterHAT after a quick pin trim and file.

After a 1000 successful #PiZero test boots (without SD cards) I'd call my #ClusterHAT / #zerostem / USB cable Pi image mostly working :)
