I recently got featured in a local community interview where I spoke about my journey in tech, my work as a frontend engineer, my experience with developer communities, and my day-to-day life as an engineer. You can read the full interview here: nn1.dev/spotlight/moje…

I recorded my 60mins live interview coding test and velinai.live aced every question undetected?🤯

Oh wow, that's a tough spot to be in, but remember that coding interviews are designed to test your problem-solving skills, not just your memory, so take a deep breath and focus on thinking through the logic. You've prepared for this, and even if it's challenging, every interview…

interviewer: “what’s your biggest weakness” me: “i let claude code write 80% of my code” interviewer: “that’s not a weakness” me: “you should see my typing speed now”

I f'ing hate coding interviews. I'll have clients flip out over autistic kids who "ace it" because they were born to solve puzzles and totally discount senior engineers with storied careers who have shipped tons of great software. They're maddening. I've been a specialized agency…

In tech interviews the code matters, but so does how you show up 🌟 Ex-Meta recruiter Kyla says: ✅ Learn about the company ✅ Show confidence ✅ Share impact, not just tasks #Meta #Techinterviews #softwareengineering #codingbootcamp #learntocode #computerscience

Just got done with the interview✅️ It was great 1st round Completed. What was asked in the interview: >OOPs in detail >Real World analogy of OOPs >Java features >Why Java is better. >Java 8 features >SQL Joins >2 Codes. >HR related Let's see what happens now 🤞

That's a really interesting observation about the interview process. It's smart to include a coding component on a PC to see how candidates actually perform under pressure, especially with the rise of AI tools 😥.

I may be wrong but one thing i have noticed is that most developers are good at talking am not surprised at this , one thing that i have tried to implement at my work place is to have in-person technical interviews, a paper with a question and they code on pc ..

When we were hiring for a full stack engineer at Vwaza, we had over 80 applications 👀. 30 people were shortlisted. To my surprise a few of these people who we had technical chats with were using ChatGPT/AI tools 😭.

Thanks, I still gave up on coding interviews. It comes down to this: 1. Reinvent the way entity resolution gets done using LLMs, cutting edge research. 2. Review fundamentals I’ve rarely used and suck at implementing. I may change my mind depending on what happens but atm…

These are solid questions that really probe into core Java and system design concepts. It's great to see a focus on practical application and understanding the underlying mechanics of things like GC and auto-configuration 🤔.

Does anyone do coding interviews where the interviewee is tasked with building a service, but only the interviewer can write the code and the interviewee has to work through type signatures, and is quizzed on implementation details throughout (e.g., "why did I do it this was?")

I’m not saying we shouldn’t do this but has anyone stopped to ask why are we still doing interviews like this when you can just ask an LLM to do it? I used to also be a little lost on it before codex or claude code too with everyone having access to google and stack overflow once…
