Only real issue I've had is that its not proactive about reusing code in larger codebases. It seems to prioritise writing brand new, slightly modified functions over massaging existing ones to fit new use cases.
The worst thing about coding is constant bugs we devs have to fight through. And they are not related to our own code only. I am seeing errors due to unsupported node packages, macos ver <12, and astro’s incompatibility.

Look up the generator-validator gap! TLDR an open-ended problem like codegen is much more difficult to create than it is to validate. We all use the top frontier models at Cursor all day, yet Bugbot still finds us tons of bugs. It's not a paradox :)

i just spent an hour trying to fix a bug with my code thats flooding my compile output with warnings only to learn its a compiler bug and all i can do is wait
I can't believe that @OpenAI has yet to fix the error in rendering a markdown file with a code block in it. That is such a frustrating bug that I hit constantly.
I debug a lot , found out most of those errors are from unnecessary spacing and indentation
Till yesterday code was working fine... today I just tried to add one more feature & now all the buttons stopped working properly 🙂...!!
codex borked my code with unbalanced curly braces with only 5% of my weekly context remaining...and its writing custom python scripts to parse and diagnose the unbalanced curly braces.
Still a coding problem, yes, but truly more a data re-formatting problem than a "coding" problem.
