We differentiate instruction for students. I have at least three reading levels worth of materials for each class. Students get to make choices of types of assignments they submit to take into account different learning styles.

In my experience, a balance worked. I would do a traditional teacher-led lesson to introduce a topic and then students would get a lot of choice on how they wanted to learn more about that topic. Stations, groups, multiple pathways, hands-on learning all felt student-centered
