My second Django contribution has just gotten merged! 🎉 It fixes a small issue with migrations when using SQLite. I found the ticket during #DjangoConEurope sprints and it already had the test and the solution, so I only needed to open the PR and address some minor details.
Enjoyed a wee bit of sun in stunning Edinburgh this afternoon! 🤩 So happy to be back, even if it's just for a few days! #DjangoConEurope

During #DjangoConEurope sprints I opened two PRs that fix two small issues related to SQLite in Django. I see some more tickets with the sqlite keyword and I'll try to get to those in the next few weeks as well. Any other issues with Django and SQLite that I'm not seeing?

Day 1 of #DjangoConEurope #Dublin is over: Great keynote by Sarah Boyce about how to best help in open source projects - they usually don't lack code contributions and would much rather have you review someone's PR than fix the 10 millionth spelling error.

"Idempotency is key" Idempotency is essential for robust, reliable and consistent data processing, says Ricardo Morato Rocha at #djangoconeurope
Leave room to grow: If primary constraint on your project is coders not database space, avoid time consuming SQL migrations by not over-optismising data types, argues Tim Bell at #djangoconeurope. E.g. bigint instead of int for storing financial values. What do you think?
