The #ethnocentrism in the NYT’s obituary of #MalachyMcCourt is offensive! They refer to him as a “professional Irishman.” Malachy was a proud American of Irish ancestry, Born in Brooklyn in 1931, his family went to Ireland in 1934, he returned to the US in 1952.
