It's #GopherTortoiseDay! This is the largest gopher tortoise our herpetologists have ever seen and it's likely a new record. It died of renal failure & was donated to the museum by @FLDEPNews. We preserved this exceptional tortoise as a wet specimen for future study. 🐢/thread
