#Integrape, Stefania Savoi (@StefaniaSavoi ): VvSWEET10 & VvSTWEET15 genes were induced. They believed that it is responsible with the transport of sucrose inside the berries. The transport of sucrose inside the vacuole requires energy being independent from the VvSWEETs genes.

Stefania Savoi (@StefaniaSavoi ) continues at #integrape with phenological and transcriptomic characterization of individual grape berry during development. There are >400 transcriptomics studies published on grapevine. Clusters can develop asynchronously (flowers and berries).

#integrape: Tardaguilla talks about the #hyperspectral_images to fingerprint the anthocyanin content on berries, not only in the lab but also in the field. Compactness can be measured too with the application of machine learning to the image analysis.

#integrape: Tardaguilla describes the use of machine vision applied to #viticulture: Green leaves & canopy density can be evaluated by imaging processing. Vine pruning weight can be measured with machine vision. Thermal cameras can be used to evaluate the vineyard water status.

Session IV about Digital Viticulture at #integrape starts with Javier Tardaguilla (televitis.unirioja.es). He describes several projects: vitisFlower is an app. designed to count flowers in a grapevine plant. Robots for phenotyping, for example water status of a vineyard.

#integrape, Angelos Kanellis: RNASeq of both clones (A16, E11) pointed several DE genes that it could be associated with this aroma. E.g., Monoterpenes associated genes have a higher expression on the E11 (Citrus aroma) meanwhile terpenoids related genes are higher on A16.
