Based on #JensensInequality, the #EM algorithm finds an auxiliary function so that the log-likelihood is an upper bound for this function in E-step and then maximizes the auxiliary function (equivalent to maximize the log-likelihood) wrt the parameters in M-step.#readingOfTheDay
