*How* to stop making people involuntarily pay for things is not complicated – you just leave them alone! The difficulty lies in getting those who hold power to stop doing it. For that, we recommend supporting and electing #Libertarians and people with #libertarian values.
#Libertarians would want everyone (drug users, residents, State employees) to adhere to the #NonAggressionPrinciple and respect #PrivateProperty rights. We'd want users (addicted or not) to have access to legal #drugs and safe spaces to use them (so less risk of #overdoses).
If you own #PrivateProperty, #Libertarians support your right to evict people for trespassing there. #PublicLands are for everyone. They're where our inherent, inalienable human rights are supposed to be guaranteed and not at the mercy of any property owner. in a word, #freedom.

You appear to believe we're modern liberals aligned with the Democrats. That's incorrect. Many people on the right do see (or claim to see) #Libertarians this way, just as many on the left see (or claim to see) us as Republicans. In fact we're pro-freedom and anti-authoritarian.
Actually the main reasons #Libertarians don't get more votes are the same reasons other #independent parties in the #UnitedStates do not – discriminatory #BallotAccess laws, exclusionary #debates, pro-incumbent/establishment #media coverage, and the myth of the "wasted vote".
Some #liberals do, some don't. #ClassicalLiberals and #libertarians tend to care about it. Modern liberals and modern #conservtives, not so much.
