Operating systems are generalist softwares, and making it suite everyone's needs is impossible. But with linux, the power goes to the user and the user is expected to be technically knowledgeable. It's all a trade-off at the end of the day.

I gave up (and I'm a developer) when I realised that most of the linux distros are ran by idealogues. Engineers and developers should be at the top of these projects, not feminists and grifters. Linux will turn to shit as they force the Rust versions on us. It's joever.

Many things are done as you go using the scientific-method. By their standards, linux never would have been released cuz they didnt have the complete design of it planned before writing the first line of code. Its an impractical way to build things.
