Despite the summer holidays, #classes continue at #MigraCode. On Saturdays, students of our Web Development course meet in Adevinta's offices in #Barcelona for their in-person lesson. They are currently starting module 8, dedicated to learning about #NodeJS!

🤝 Meet the 2nd round of our volunteer #instructors, Anandamaya and Alejandro! Both are former #MigraCode students, and they taught the second module about HTML and CSS to the English and Spanish groups. We asked them some questions about themselves... ⬇️

The #MigraCode team started the course on #digital literacy for the participants of the #Youth4All project. 💻 The last session was aimed at learning how to create their own #CV using the platform Canva. An essential #skill to ensure their access to #job opportunities!

Partners from the EU project "Emerging Communities" visited one of #MigraCode Saturday classes in Barcelona, held in @AdevintaSpain's office. Our Head of Education introduced the MigraCode program to the partner organizations, who later got the opportunity to meet the students.

The Emerging Communities team visited our office in #Barcelona to learn more about our projects in Spain, as well as a #MigraCode class in Barcelona, the #Youth4All project in Moianès, and Can Masdeu as an external initiative (in pictures).

Together, this supposes 32 hours of databases to our @Porschedigital, @WeAreAdaptive, @newrelic, @typeform, and @HuaweiMobile - sponsored groups. #migracode #codeacademy #codinglife #openeducation #volunteers #volunteering

Together with @OCC_Project, @MigracodeBCN & @Porschedigital we organised JobVersity 3.0, the most diverse talent acquisition event of Barcelona, connecting students of #MigraCode to tech companies that aim to hire diverse talent and are committed to a more inclusive #tech sector.

Participants cycled between 90 and 220 KM in the beautiful mountains of the Catalan Pyrenees and, in total, more than 4,700 euros were raised to support our #MigraCode program!

We are happy to share with you that the Erasmus+ #project that was the start of #MigraCode Barcelona and the European MigraCode Network has been labeled as a 'Good practice example'!

On May 23rd, our colleagues from Barcelona had a #CodeWomen session on their beautiful terrace ☀️ CodeWomen is an initiative of #Migracode that encourages women to learn and network in the tech field. MigraCode is an organization that promotes tech education for everyone. 🚀

Today we want to thank our #volunteer Cristhian Fernandez (from Creativity Spark) for giving an amazing masterclass to #MigraCode students on Microsoft Power Platform Introduction. Thanks for such a complete session, Cris!

Last week, we received the visit of 15 representatives of different national, regional and local authorities from across Europe (BE, ES, FR, IT, LT, LV, PL). 🌍 They came to our offices in central #Barcelona to get to know more about #MigraCode.

Did you know #MigraCode also offers professional psychological support by volunteer therapists? Many students over the last years have requested this support and receive free #counselling sessions for a few weeks or even for a few months up to a year. 💥

In these two weeks, Yogesh, Vincent, Diana, and Abdo from the #MigraCode team are onboarding all students from our upcoming @SageSpain, @amazon, and @typeform-sponsored groups in tailored individual sessions. In total, we will be #onboarding almost 40 new students! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

Last week, the kick-off event of the new #MigraCode Web Development course took place. We are so happy to share that 32 students joined this batch, made possible thanks to our #sponsors @Porschedigital, @newrelic, @WeAreAdaptive, and @HuaweiMobileESP.

Two weeks ago, the kick-off event of the new #MigraCode Web Development course took place! During the event, Anandamaya Arnó worked her magic to inspire the 32 new students. Ananda is a former MigraCode student, hired as a Web Developer after completing the course.
