A great combo. Now, if only there was a reason for @SecretaryPete to visit in August. In other news, #MVLC is opening August 2024.

Using the Combination of Innovative @USDOT Financing and the earliest Possible Construction Start (thank you, City Council/the Mayor) has saved local taxpayers at least $15M over the life of #MVLC the project, and that's before we count energy savings and economic development.

Thank You, @IBEW_191 apprentices, for visiting & learning about our EV chargers and their installation. Thank you, @repricklarsen, for sharing your father's story. Excellent electrical work has powered the #MVLC project & empowered many families.

Our absolutely amazing staff is working hard to make sure we have the best service possible from day one. On this week, when we honor libraries, I am incredibly grateful for them. #MVLC

The @MVLibraryCommon project is coming along! Last week, I caught up with #MountVernon Mayor Peter Donovan for an update on how a recently awarded Bipartisan Infrastructure Law grant will help #MVLC become the largest publicly accessible EV charging hub in the United States.

We are big fans of Lara Swimmer's work. Although the #MVLC won't come into focus until the summer, we plan to follow her subtitle and become a "new and reimagined" library space. Also, check out Lara's book some time.

Mayor Boudreau & her team championed the innovative #MVLC project, & I look forward to working with Mayor Donovan & his team to deliver more jobs, drive long-term economic growth & pull more pollution out of transportation in #MountVernon & in communities along the I-5 corridor.

Thank You to @RepRickLarsen + @usdot, and so many others! We have received an outstanding award that makes the #MVLC possible. We weren't sure federal grants were possible, and now we have a backer in our success! Oh, and @SecretaryPete, all the more reason to visit.

Last Friday, we celebrated the “topping off” of the end of the #MVLC. This means that 2/3 of the construction is complete. It was a wonderful celebration. The next phase is framing and finishing. Completion sometime in the first half of 24.
