An hour spent at #MyPatch. plenty on the scrape including 7 Spoonbill, SpotRed, Golden Plov. Good views Bonaparte's Gull east of slipway. Looks like Swallows in east hide not successful this year....nest deserted, 1 dead chick in nest.
Half an hour at #MyPatch tonight. The East scrape teeming with birds....Blackwits, Avocet, Red/Greenshank,Dunlin,CurlewSand,ComSand,Ruff, Lapwing, RingedPlov, WaterRail....much more on the rising tide but fading light. This G/Shank looked a bit miffed after swallowing a fish!
Such a beautiful morning. The sea was like glass. Sandwich terns roosting on the buoys and 100+ turnstones keeping me company.#mypatch #birdinginkent @KentishPlover
#MyPatch yes'd. A bit blustery but plenty to see on E scrape. MedGull, Lapwing, BtGods, lots Coot, Gadwall etc..plenty ducklings. Contrary to my post (23 May)..the E hide swallows are back and rebuilt nest (hooray). A surprise meet with Jim and Nancy Moir (of Painting Birds)
Good to be out #MyPatch, plenty to see on the scrape. Ruff, Ringed Plovers, Dunlin, Lapwings, Blackwit,Redshank, a single Spoonbill, a Cattle Egret dropped in, ComSand, GoldPlovs etc etc Plenty of Swallows passaging West. I had a lovely few hrs.
#MyPatch from the E hide today. 2 Sandwich Terns on the scrape. YellowWag, a superb summer plume Spotted Redshank feeding amongst Blackwits...my highlight. Fleeting glimpse of Bittern, + Greensand, Lapwings, RingedPlov....much more.
Lovely few hrs #MyPatch today. Cuckoo and Bittern vocal. Egyption Goose, Common Tern on scrape (thanks Jonathan), Pochard, plenty of singing Sedgies, Spoonbill feeding. Yet to see Wheateer......maybe tomorrow.
An early morning visit to the #MyPatch produced my first #Whitethroat of the year followed on by #SedgeWarbler, booming #Bittern the Dawn chorus was fantastic.

Not the greatest quality but we were just watching the sunset on @isleofislay when we saw a white-tailed eagle chasing its prey! The prey got away eventually, but it was fascinating! #mypatch @BBCSpringwatch
Couple of hrs Oare yesd morn 7.15. Two Barn Owls hunting (West), lots of lovely singing Warblers.......Cuckoo (west) saw two on 28/4.... it was lovely to be back on #MyPatch. #Salsify #goatsbeard
who must have been in the garden all night. The poor attacked unsuspecting non-siamese person went to ground beneath the magnolia. The terrifying giant shushed it out the gate and ever since I have been pawtrolling my patch with menance in my blue eyes #MyPatch #RazzsRealm #Cats

A nice couple of hrs #MyPatch yes'd. Highlights were 2 pairs of Ravens, Green Woodpecker, Kingfisher, and Barn Owl (2.30pm, got chased off by Kestrel),Little Grebes in creek. Stonechat obliging as usual. Enjoyed watching Raven aerial displays.

#MyPatch yesterday....4 Sandwich Tern on slipway posts, approx 250 Brent Geese near slipway. 100's Golden Plover on E scape, much more. Lovely to get out, poor heath has held me back this year....glad to see back of it!
