As the majority of code was written in #Symfony, you oppose simply to your statements, and whereas the remaining was checked #PHPCS and #PHPMD, rather check those before :) No miscommunication is present here, only your defense stance, which is aside the jurisdiction you outcry.
There a good option: github.com/joonty/vim-php… but having everything disabled by default and running specially #phpmd to catch such cases. It won't catch dead code :-(
