Still using the #PowerShell WMI cmdlets such as Get-WmiObject? Start using the CIM cmdlets which were introduced in version 3 instead because the WMI ones no longer exist in #PowerShellCore 6.

CVE-2018-8415 vulnerability (portal.msrc.microsoft.com/en-US/security…) enables attackers to bypass logging altogether in #PowerShell (Windows EventViewer 4103 4014) and also #PowerShellCore #pwsh (Linux syslog).


Hope you're not too fond of the #PowerShell Get-EventLog cmdlet because it doesn't exist in #PowerShellCore version 6. Looks like Get-WinEvent is your only choice moving forward.
