A3. Sometimes to understand the negatives, we also ask ourselves "What positives might be lacking?" For example, some of our work focuses on teaching healthy relationships skills (a positive) to prevent interpersonal violence and its negative outcomes. #preventionsciencechat
A2 My research examines health risks in vulnerable pops like system-involved youth. Before I can even engage them in the prevention research, I have to engage WITH them in the community. #preventionsciencechat

A4 I speak to youth about what they feel is the issue not what I think it is. I ask “what’s happened to you” not “what’s wrong with you”. It’s impt to understand they’re their life’s experts before designing interventions. #preventionsciencechat
A7: This year, SPR membership will be asked to vote for a new chair-elect for the ECPN. We are looking for ECPN members who are interested in making a four-year commitment to SPR and ECPN, as chair-elect for 2019-2021, and as chair of ECPN for 2021-2023. #preventionsciencechat
A5 We need to publish research that explicitly examines & highlights findings on health disparities & health equity incl risk & protective factors, as well as social, cultural & structural determinants of health #preventionsciencechat
