#100DaysOfCode Day 30 I optimized the single-day event collection speed ⚡️ Getting events from Calendar app is tricky. For reoccurring events, you must get the original entry to tell today's ones BUT by using #PyObjC, I could fetch the events from the CalendarStore directly 🎉

@surial - Another thing: install #PyObjC on the #iPad or #iPhone and you can code apps without Xcode/#Apple signing your app. Hawt.

does anyone here well versed with usinh objc.loadBundleFunctions? how do you map objective c arguments with python variables? and retvals? #pyobjc #objc #loadBundleFunctions I am having trouble making the return value of CGWindowListCopyWindowInfo as array of NSDictionary

Has there always been an issue with PyObjC 's runMode_beforeDate_ ? It somehow crashes my app every so often. I am not sure if manually allocating an NSAutoreleasePool instance solves the problem >.< #PythonFatalError #PyEval_RestoreThread #PyObjc

The version 6 branch of #PyObjC has finally caught up with the current beta: tests pass in macOS 10.15 beta 5 with Python 3.8b3, including bindings for all new frameworks.

So my 11yo is looking for a way to build #PyObjC apps without dealing with .nibs for the UI, which is not exactly the kind of father-son discussion I ever expected to have in 2019. There is hope yet. /cc @RonaldOussoren
