#SIFF2024 #SIFFTY Gus T. should be able to add 4 more films to the list before the festival concludes on Sunday. I'm am very excited to see the Luther Vandross documentary Sunday morning and "After The Fire" 🇫🇷 later that day.
I have more new movies than I can watch. Excited for the #SIFF2025 The only 2 films I didn't get in advance that I wanted are 40 Acres & Slanted. Both about White Supremacy. And that documentary about Nazi loot. I told you all blonde reigned during last year's #SIFFTY
#SIFFTY #SIFF2024 Tie for number 9 is wild because The Black Sea was filmed in Bulgaria. The New Boy is filmed in Australia. Very, similar films. Following one black refugee in a strange land. Both films written by non-white males - an indigenous Australian male wrote New Boy😮
Forgot what shirt I was wearing to a screening of EVIL DOES NOT EXIST this afternoon. As I walked inside someone yelled "you DO exist!" at me. I did not realize what he meant until I sat down in the theater. 🙃#siff #siffty
Gus T.'s final film rankings for the 2024 Seattle International Film Festival #SIFFTY Out of 17 films, only 1 was bad. EVERY film I saw with black people in it, dealt with Racism. 2 different films showed black males dancing with their black moms. I though that was extraordinary.
Legit exhausted, and this week still has a couple more days on it before it honestly calms down. But a day like this reminds you why the hard work will always be worth it. You can celebrate it, dance, absorb, commune, be one with life. Today was alright. Legendary, even. #SIFFTY
