1st week fish sampling ended. Still have 5 more to go for #lifepredator assessment. Montargil reservoir is packed with non-native fishes (bass, sunfish, mosquitofish, carp, gibelio carp, bleak, bullhead), only the native Iberian barbel was present! No #silurus was detected!

Giant European #Silurus glanis catfish are very cunning predators. They habitually stalk pigeons and strand themselves to catch them.

The #wels #catfish (#Silurus glanis) makes slow progress. I´ve also started to work out the texture of the ground and defined and detailed the little #grebe a bit more. But this will need still many hourse until it´s close to be finished. I´m still not happy with a lot of things.
