When you are in Southend you have to ride on the #southendpier Railway. The new trains even have a freight coach. Surprised not more than one train in action though on what must be one their busiest weekends. Also I recommend checking out the free Pier Museum, friendly staff

I took some time out yesterday to go and see the #PoppiesOnThePier. What an impressive display and a great achievement by the many volunteer knitters and crocheters who contributed. Well done to everyone involved. #Southend #SouthendPier
