Well yesterday was my last ever day on placement. Really enjoyed it and learnt a lot. Here’s to the final few weeks of the course, and then who knows what the future holds #StudentOT

At adventure soft play, I was looking for the toddler. I didn’t expect her to be on the 2nd level, let alone the 3rd. The issue is she couldn’t get down so I had to retrieve her… I hate heights. Glass of wine for 1 later…. thats occupational balance, right? 🤣 #StudentOT

Lots of negativity surrounds the NHS, but every staff member I have come across in the last 24 hours , from A and E to the ward, have been nothing but compassionate. We would be lost without the NHS #LoveTheNHS I have definitely witnessed the whole OT process now😅 #StudentOT

Productive day today. Managed to tidy the playroom (give it a day til it looks like a war zone again) and a really good conversation around next steps for the dissertation. Keeps my brain functioning along finding lego in random places #OccupationalBalance #StudentOT

My 2 year old appears to have skipped the “why” stage and gone straight to teenager mode. Her go to responses are “not right now”, “in a minute” or “in 10 minutes”….. Can I go back to Uni yet? 🤣😅 #LongestSummerEver #ToddlerLife #StudentOT

I’ve been back from holiday for 10 days. Already I have re-arranged my toddler’s bedroom, cleared the kitchen cupboards and cleared out old clothes. It’s going to be a long few months ahead til Yr 3 🙈😩🤣 #StudentOT #LongSummer #NeedAHobby

What a fabulous holiday that was much needed. The only downside is the big pile of washing to wade through now 😆 On the plus side, the final mark of Yr 2 was released this week, so it’s on to Yr 3 in Sept, and some work on the dissertation over the summer #StudentOT

Well, I didn’t expect to be ending my placement with a chest infection and strong painkillers, but it is what it is. Crawling to the end (literally) but I will make the most of my last two days! #StudentOT

Just finished the bbq. My 2.5 year old pulls up her chair to sit down, places her hands on my leg and her dad’s leg and procliams “That was a lovely day” 🥹 I’ll try to remember this when she is having a tantrum 😆 #StudentOT

Placement week 7 ✅ It’s my last week next week. The team are organising a buffet on my leaving day. They say they’ll miss me… I know the real reason is because I live near the equipment supplier so have saved them a few round trips 🤣 #StudentOT
