Inspired by @Sayraphim to make viking bread. Turns out coffee grinders are an effective and readily available way to hand-grind pearl barley into flour. It's probably not as biomechanically optimal as a big stone mill but it gives a good sense of the effort needed to make bread.

Ahh! A recipe for even older bread than the #VikingBread from the Melb Museum exhibition! This is Prehistoric bread from around 14,000 years ago... Only prob in trying to follow it is I don't have any wild plant tubers in the veggie crisper...
