It seems with NiceGUI and #SaxonC I can build an #XQuery fiddle with CodeMirror all in #Python in a few lines of code. Certainly need to tweak the layout but a functional prototype is amazing.
Did you know #XPath 3 (2016) is a Turing-complete functional and declarative language? As are #XSLT 3 (which uses XPath and #XQuery which extends it). And #XProc 3 is a data flow language that also uses XPath. Widely used, powerful, efficient. #XMLisUseful #markupMonday

Visual Studio has no syntax highlighting support for #XQuery, therefore I have created an extension package that adds a TextMate grammar for XQuery 3.1 syntax highlighting.
After my attempt to create a Visual Studio 2022 extension using #SaxonC 12 HE failed (so far), I have created a VS 2022 extension for #XSLT 3 and #XQuery 3.1 with the help of #Saxon HE 10.9: marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName…
I have published a preview version of a #VS 2022 extension to run #XSLT 3.0 (standalone against xsl:template name="xsl:initial-template", against XML input document or against a JSON input) and #XQuery 3.1 (standalone or XML or JSON input) with #SaxonC HE: marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName…

Tried to integrate my IKVM cross-compilation of Saxon HE 11 in a .NET 6 WPF app to run #XSLT 3.0, #XQuery 3.1 and #XPath 3.1. Prototype works:
With some delay (as Saxonica compiled Saxon 12.6 for Java 11 and not the IKVM compatible Java 8) I have updated my dotnet tools SaxonHE12NetXslt nuget.org/packages/Saxon… and SaxonHE12NetXQuery nuget.org/packages/Saxon… to the latest Saxon 12.6. Happy #XSLT 3 and #XQuery 3.1 coding.
Updating the #XML Toolbox to not only do #XSLT 3, #XQuery 3.1 and #XPath 3.1 with the latest #Saxon HE 12.5 but to support #XSD 1.1 validation using the latest Apache #Xerces; still needs some polishing, perhaps we see Saxon 12.6 before I am done with that.

Got my previously .NET 4.8 framework, official Saxonica #Saxon .NET HE 10.9 powered #XSLT/#XQuery/#XPath Notepad converted to .NET 8 and my home grown Saxon HE 12 IKVM compilation. Now I wonder how to package this up for other users.
