This afternoon in Computing, Year 4 worked in pairs and trios to debate and discuss whether online activity should be monitored. Some excellent speaking and listening supported by our 'Talk Tactics', 'Talk Tokens' and 'Listening Ladder'. #yarmcomputing @voice21oracy
Year 4 have spent this afternoon learning how to connect and add basic code to micro:bits! #yarmcomputing
WOW! Year 6 have been using the micro:bits to make their own mood pin boards using cardboard and foil. #yarmcomputing #yarmstem
This afternoon, Year 4 coded their own Micro:bit dice. They completed challenges and maths activities using them! #yarmcomputing #yarmmaths
Year 6 have been using Keynote to design their own app prototype in Computing lessons. They learnt how to add links to other pages using the iPad tools. #yarmcomputing #yarmstem
Reception listened to Buddy the dog teaching them how to stay safe whilst on the internet. They learnt a song too! #yarmearlyyears #yarmcomputing
Year 1 are exploring algorithms with a partner this afternoon. They are hopping, smiling and jumping all over the classroom! #year1 #yarmcomputing

In our computing lessons, Year 4 have been working collaboratively to create a magic ball. Some great oracy and coding work on show! #yarmcomputing
Year 2 had an exciting adventure in the woods today. We climbed over tree trunks, found our way through bushes and squelched in the mud. We made a tally chart of the living things we came across along the way. We also made amazing nature pictures. #yarmcomputing #yarmgeography
Year 6 are completing their buzzer games in Computing today. They have worked hard on creating and debugging their algorithms, designing and testing a game which is challenging for the user! #yarmcomputing #yarmstem
Y5 are enjoying exploring Micro:bits in ICT. They’ve created accurate algorithms and modified their code to make an accurate and engaging step counter. #yarmcomputing
This week, Year 4 have moved on with much more advanced coding to create their own 'times tables tester'. We created our own variables and can't wait to show others! #yarmcomputing
We've stepped up our algorithms in Year 4 this afternoon. We used a range of new inputs and outputs to create a beating heart and apply this into making our own toy using the accelerometer! #yarmcomputing
A fantastic afternoon of Internet safety in Year 4 as part of @UK_SIC Safer Internet Day '25! We've learnt about lots of types of online scams, how to protect ourselves and how to keep our accounts safe and secure! #yarmcomputing
As part of their Evolution topic, children in Year 6 are researching facts about Mary Anning to include in their own interactive fact files. #yarmscience #yarmstem #yarmcomputing
Excellent peer discussion and collaboration this afternoon across Year 4 as (in teams) we came up with our own game. We've planned the plot, logo and characters and now we're coding it in Scratch! #yarmcomputing #yarmDT #yarmSTEM
Y3LP had a great morning with Mr Foggett from @YarmSchool! We learnt how to use and code Micro:bits, which even ended with a game of rock, paper, scissors! #yarmstem #yarmscience #yarmcomputing
An excellent afternoon of oracy in Year 4 as we discussed topics respectfully across the curriculum using our 'Talk Tactics'! @voice21oracy #yarmenglish #yarmcomputing #yarmpshe
