“If he blamed himself for his Uncle Ben's death, I think he becomes a very different character…" motherfucker that's called BECOMING SPIDER-MAN

HE LITERALLY BECOMES SPIDER-MAN BECAUSE HE BLAMES HIMSELF FOR UNCLE BENS DEATH WHAT DO YOU MEAN

I plan on buying one stock for the next five months before moving to a different sector. for now I'm on food
guys all i'm saying is it would be WAY more interesting if uncle ben got to live for a while and we saw him die DURING his career, by like Otto or something! think of the STORY POTENTIAL!! and then we'd get to know for a fact that Spider-Man is a hero even without tragedy!!!
I wish the MCU would just stop mentioning Uncle Ben because it always comes off like they don’t realize the impact this moment has on Spider-Man. Uncle Ben’s death is integral to Spider-Man being Spider-Man. Like he is not Spider-Man without it.
I’m not sure why we’re taking their word at face value here, especially when their movie contradicts this by having Peter give a speech insinuating Peter lost uncle Ben 😭
No! Because he was helping people, with May's help and approval! You miss the entire point AGAIN. Uncle Ben died because PETER LET A MURDER GO because he felt it wasn't his responsibility to stop him. The guy then kills Ben. Peter could have stopped him, chose not to, Ben dies
my wish is that destin will actually show us that uncle ben did have some importance to Peter cuz holy shit this cant keep going on
The Russo bros say Tom Hollands Peter was not responsible for uncle Bens death in the MCU “in our minds, no, he wasn't responsible for Uncle Ben's death. That would have been a different interpretation. A more intense interpretation of the character." (cbr.com/russo-brothers…)
I feel like this was a bit obvious. Spider-Man: Homecoming kinda established Uncle Ben’s death as May’s tragedy, not Peter’s.

MCU Uncle Ben is the most curious adaptation of the character for literally not being there Legit what does he do, what else can you do with an Uncle Ben if not the one thing he’s meant to be

Fiege also confirmed this btw. hes simply going off what we saw as viewers loll. never do they go into uncle bens death and its affect on Peter therefore why would I think anything happened to ben. he could be flipping burgers somewhere.
Not really tho? Tom trilogy barely mentions Uncle Ben at all and his role was pretty much given to Aunt May
Idky any of you are taking their opinion as facts when CW and Homecoming directly contradict what they saying, their vision just isn't canon as far as we can tell imo
Is it weird to say I honestly dont even care about the details of MCU Uncle Ben at this point 😭
Uncle Ben choked to death on a hotdog at a Yankees game and they were so embarassed they never spoke about him again.
Careful, you might get harassed by folks acting like this is jury duty and that not blatantly naming Uncle Ben makes that reasonable doubt.
we are how many years into the mcu and people still think it is a 1 to 1 comic adaptation? MCU version of peters defining moment was aunt may dying, not uncle ben
I recently rewatched Spectecular Spider-Man and this scene highlights why Uncle Ben is pivotal for Peter character why he became Spider-Man.
He got all that in his trilogy. Tony and Aunt May deaths were his “Uncle Ben” tragedy.
also: yapping outside the movies means nothing until it's on film Uncle Ben Haunts the Narrative was always an elegant part of MCU's handling of Spidey, whether forced by trying to deal with Sony or just creative
If uncle ben isn't there then who can he go home to get advice from 🙏
so uncle ben died of ligma thats why holland spiderman is so milquetoast makes sense
Been seeing the whole Joe Russo comment all over Twitter and it’s funny because uhh… Uncle Ben never said the great power line in the comics to Peter nor did Peter become Spider-Man because of Uncle Ben’s death in the comics but go off I guess
Yet another reason why I push back when people say “no one needs to see uncle Ben/waynes/etc die again” While I get it,it also gives them a sneaky loophole to change the origin later because they know they’d get shit for changing it on screen from the beginning
Timeline talk about Uncle Ben trains brevity; kitchen talk trains consequence.
I understand what he’s saying, he wouldn’t have been an Ironman dickrider if he was responsible for Uncle Ben getting smoked.

So did Uncle Ben fall on some train tracks or something lmao

I agree that his uncle Ben existed in the MCU but unlike the fans he has more information about the MCU version of Peter Parker background history. The only thing the fans have are theories based on what they saw on the big screen.
It doesn’t even make any sense because this actively contradicts their OWN movie, there’s a crucial scene in the movie he spells out “my irresponsibility got my uncle Ben killed” like WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT😭😭😭
Deleting Uncle Ben = Deleting Batman’s Parents Person who made this decision must get fired
Biological Stakes: With the Mr. Crane revelation potentially introducing new Parker family dynamics, having his own children would finally allow Peter to fulfill the "Uncle Ben legacy" by becoming a father himself.

He didn’t originally say the line, but it was organically incorporated into the stories later through retcons. So yes, Uncle Ben said the line.

HELP EMERGNTJHOKDRGTL THIS IS SO FUNNY. I AM SO SORRY THAT I ACCIDENTALLY MADE HIM LOOK LIKE YOUR UNCLE ANON. ALSO THANK YOU 😭😭
BB is now working in the same newspaper her uncle worked at! Ben would've been very proud of her. 😊😊😊 #DaredevilBornAgain #DaredevilBornAgainseason2 #MCU #MarvelStudios
While I do appreciate the tide of Uncle Ben discourse going my way, it's also annoying that I've been saying this for years and people tell me I'm the crazy person
