Buffy got me through a tough time when I was young and not well. Xander made me laugh and I have always had a soft spot for Nicholas. This is very sad news. xx

Deeply saddened by this news. I got my first really big break in this business by writing a spec Buffy script titled Xander, the Slayer. Getting hired on the show and writing for his character on the actual show was a pinch me moment. Condolences to his family and friends.

absolutely this. i genuinely have so much empathy for his family, this is a tragic way to watch somebody you love end their lifelong struggle and finally lose them once and for all. but he is not xander, and it’s ridiculous to couple his death with missing a fictional character

I don't know how to feel about the loss of Nicholas Brendon. But I am immeasurably sad about the loss of Xander Harris. I feel like I lost a dear friend. Someone who was always there for me when I needed it most. Xander was a core part of my childhood and will be sorely missed.
